Do you believe you are in right standing with God, but do things that His word says shouldn’t be done? For example: cursing, lusting (a strong craving or desire, often of sexual nature), gossiping, worrying, holding on to feelings of bitterness, unforgiveness, and/or resentment of someone else, sexual immorality (pre-marital sex, homosexuality, masturbation, pornography, perversion— basically sexual activity outside of God’s design for it.), smoking, drinking to get impaired, lying, etc.?

Here’s a better question, do you believe your affiliation and/or involvement in a church makes you in right standing with God despite participating in one, a few, or all of the sins above?

I have been there too. But unfortunately, this is a lie from the pits of hell. You cannot truly love and reflect the image of God as you are participating in what displeases Him.

The Good news is that he’s waiting to cleanse you of those impurities. What may be hard for you is no problem at all for God. But He needs your will— your desire to change and your permission to let Him fix it.

It is a common misconception in the Christian community that you have to fix yourself before you follow the Lord. Just read the Bible for yourself, and you will see that’s not the case. From beginning to end, you will read many stories of trifling behavior by people who God loved and used for His desired purpose.

If God can use a donkey to speak and get His point across (Numbers 22), He can and will use you too— at all stages of your walk. Don’t let what you’ve heard people say about who Christians are and what Christianity is delay you from connecting to the true source of it all— Jesus CHRIST!

If you feel conviction (the work of the Holy Spirit where a person is able to see themself as God sees them: guilty, defiled, and totally unable to save himself) when reading (or hearing) anything I post, talk to God about it (pray). Be honest with Him about how you feel and what you are struggling with. He already knows of course, but He’s waiting for you to give it to Him and TRUST that He can and will remove it, no matter what it looks or feels like.

I love you, and your Father in heaven loves you too ♥️.
