“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you.” Luke 10:19

Sometimes we get revelation from God followed by swift attacks from the enemy. That can look like a new problem that seemingly came from nowhere or even an existing issue worsening. This causes us to change the way we walk in boldness and even doubt if we’re working out our salvation correctly.

Let us never forget: Do not doubt! The enemy has been defeated by Jesus Christ! We don’t have to conjure up new strategies to overcome what is already under our feet! All is needed is the authority given to us by Jesus, put in action.

Use your words. Open your mouth! The enemy is under Father God and must abide by His rules. That means if you are speaking the legal authority of the Word (using your sword), then they MUST obey.

Also, let’s not be quick to give credit to the devil. Many times, our own hearts and minds are rivals as well. Renewing the mind is a daily process that we must participate in. It is work!

Take control of the thoughts that are not of God and submit them to Him. Then replace those thoughts with the mind of God. His ways are above our ways and thoughts are beyond our thoughts. Choose to be new and keep the past buried under the stronghold of the most high God.

Actively avoid carnality. Bettering ourselves by earthly standards (house, cars, good food, etc.) is a mind driven by the flesh. Refining and multiplying spiritual gifts (empathy, service, wisdom, etc.) is a mind submitted to God and His will.

“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].” 1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP

He picks us up, dusts us off and plugs us up to the ultimate source, recharging us. Then WE must do the work (studying, fasting, praying) to receive necessary downloads and updates (correcting the latest bugs).

Remember to keep those systems up-to-date! Jesus loves you ♥️
