Credit is a term that I wish I was taught about far before I began to understand its impact and importance. You may think I am referring to the financial definition, but the most important definition of credit is public acknowledgment or praise, typically that given or received when a person’s responsibility for an idea or action becomes or is made apparent.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows. He CHOSE to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.” James 1:17-18 NIV

“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 KJV

You see, even when we do something good, it was not our responsibility. Everything good comes from God and its purpose is to bring Him glory, honor, and recognition. Our Father wants everyone to know who He is and what He has done faithfully and consistently since the beginning of time.

Our souls and minds are being renewed since the acceptance of his Holy Spirit, making for us to be ever changing, but our God does not and will not change! He is already complete and holy, therefore He alone deserves His credit due!

I don’t know about you, but previously, I have taken all credit when accomplishing something either significant or small. I used to seek after man’s acceptance and approval attempting to increase my bank of credit with people who’s lives are only a vapor- here today, gone tomorrow. That is the reason I had to completely hit rock bottom and turn to God before I could achieve any lasting success in any area of my life.

Why would He continue establishing me within His blessings, if I am not giving Him credit for the victories?

So today, I challenge you to contemplate your actions regarding this matter. Don’t take the credit for God’s beautiful plan and work in your life. I guarantee you will see the phrase, “no credit, no problem” in a whole new light!

God bless you and keep you. Always remember that the LORD loves you! ♥️
